Michael D. Johnson

Michael D. Johnson is an acupuncturist, a scholar of Classical Chinese, and a perennial student. Mostly, though, he is a person devoted to understanding the mechanisms of the human body. He channels this passion into the development of contemporary acupuncture protocols grounded both in classical studies and professional experience. His ultimate goal is to provide attentive and compassionate care, deeply informed by primary research and thoroughly tested in practice.
Michael earned his Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in Portland, Oregon, and his Master Degree in Eastern Classics from Saint John's College in Santa Fe, NM. Michael is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. To date, his translations include several classics of Chinese medicine, including the Neijing, the Nanjing and the Shanghanlun.
